Zumba, The name itself makes you wanna dance. Isn’t it? The first impression of Zumba Dance Workout is that it is a lot of fun and exciting but being all that fun sometimes it is not possible for you to go to a class.
Surprise! You can do Zumba Dance Workout at home but how much space do you need to do zumba at home? I will tell how to do it at home in this article. Just find an open place where you can’t knock down lamps in your living room or in your bedroom or even in your balcony and a little bit of time and I will be your Zumba Instructor. Boom!

Step 1: Practice your Zumba Moves
Zumba Dance Workout at home for Beginners starts with practicing your own moves. How? Before you start on your own, Try a few classes at your local gym. If you are completely new to Zumba Dance Workout than trying out a few classes will help you get the rhythm of the class. The Zumba instructor will motivate you & will break down all the movements for you if you don’t understand the movements. Once you get a hand on the moves try those moves at home when you are free because when these moves will come in handy when you are dancing away in your living room.
Step 2: Ask your Friend to Workout with you
After practicing and mastering the Zumba moves the next step you can try is to ask your friends to work out with you but keep in mind that ask only those friends who are absolutely motivated to workout with you. That being said, If you have friends to workout with you, the fun goes to another level and it feels like a party. This is really helpful for Zumba for beginners at home. Moreover, you can practice being a Zumba instructor. So, Find someone who can motivate you when you are tired and Vice Versa.
Step 3: Order Zumba Dance Workout DVD’s
If you are going to work out at home than you will need some new moves because you cannot perform the same moves every time. It starts with easy zumba routines for beginners but doing the same thing over and over again can be boring and Zumba is all about fun. Get some new DVD’s when you feel you have performed
all the moves from the DVD you have. This will stir things up. After all Variety is the Spice of Life.
Step 4: Learn from Youtube
As we are talking about learning new things, Youtube is one of the best platforms to learn new things and the best part is, it is absolutely free. There are several Zumba Dance Workout channels on Youtube and you will get different insights from different Zumba instructors and they will breakdown the difficult movements for you. The instructors on Youtube will teach you Different Dance Styles of Zumba. You can choose the style which is the most suitable for you and the one you love the most
Step 5: Choose a Program According to your Fitness Level
I suggest this to everyone. “Start Where You Are.” Is zumba hard for beginners? Yes, it can be if you try to go pro on the very first day. All the Zumba instructors & practitioners you are going to see on the DVDs and on Youtube have reached on that level after a lot of practice. Choose a program or make your own plan according to your own fitness level. This is important because you will hurt yourself if you try go all out on the very first day. Start Small & Work Your Way Up.
Step 7: Revamp the Moves According to your Fitness Levels
Take the moves for a spin for a few times & check whether these moves are working for you or not. If the new program & the moves are working for you than, good for you, go ahead with it. Zumba dance for overweight beginners can be tough. If the new moves & program is not working out for you then you can modify those moves according to yourself. Make them easy to follow but not so easy that you don’t break a sweat.
Make changes to the breaks as well, change the music as you please because it is all about you enjoying to your core & dance like nobody’s watching.
Step 6: Know when to Stop
It is amazing that you want to take care of your body and want to get in shape but don’t over do it. Don’t be stubborn. Know your boundaries & stop if you can’t go anymore because overexerting yourself can get you into trouble. Zumba Dance Workout for weight loss is all about fun and dancing. There is no fun in passing out or throwing up. So, know when to stop & enjoy the workout as much as possible.
Step 8: Start Small and Progress towards a Routine
Like I said in Step 5, “Start Where You Are”. You need to understand your limits. Once you have known your limits you can break past them. Start small from a 20 t30-minutete workout & slowly build towards a more rigorous workout week by week. This will build your stamina slowly and will help you build a routine. If you intend to do everything on the first day itself you might get demotivated. Zumba dance workout at home for beginners must be started small and should be progressed towards a routine.
Step 9: Move your Whole body (Get Going)
After you have done all the research and tested a few methods and programs you should know one thing that in Zumba for beginners at home you have to move your whole body. Don’t just move your legs, move your hands too. Move your hips as well. Try to get in the groove and shake that booty.
Step 10: Cool Yourself Down
Don’t stop suddenly after the music stops and drink the whole bottle of water. I prefer sometimes to go for Home workouts. so I use Zumba DVD. The best thing about working out at home is you will have time to manage your own way as you are not going outside for any session and you will save a lot of time.
