How to make your Zumba class more fun?

If you want to make your Zumba class more fun, it is supremely important that you know your music. You need to know your songs inside out.

You must know where the beat of the music is high or are there any quirks in the music?

Listen to the songs, again and again, to understand if the song is repeating itself or the sequence vary throughout the song.

You must know when the song is going to end and if you don’t, your students are going to know about it. Your students are going to follow you and if you don’t understand the song, your students will not enjoy the workout. you might even lose some of the students.

How many songs in a Zumba class?

As you know that Songs are an important part of Zumba. You have to keep it simple when you choose songs for the choreography and the songs must be with fewer quirks/pauses.

When you teach a class you have to take a break every 15 minutes and in this 15-minute session, you should include 6 to 8 songs to make it fun and exciting.

The songs should be simple but the choreography should be even simpler. Don’t attempt any fancy moves because when you are new remembering all the new moves can be hard.

Keep it simple for the students but most importantly keep it simple for yourself. Give a chance to your students to catch up to your moves because if you are new at teaching your students are definitely new to Zumba Classes. If you want to become a good Zumba Instructor then you really need to educate yourself. Training to be a Zumba instructor is not at all tough, all you have to do is to survive the class which teaches you the basic moves. You will get your license regardless of your ability – even if you are average. In the Zumba instructor certification course, you are not even properly taught how to warm-up or cool down.

If you are serious about becoming a good Zumba Instructor then you need to learn Zumba skills by becoming a certified Zumba instructor. In the Zumba licensing workshops you are not taught how to look after a room full of students and you are not taught how to teach.

All you have to do is attend a master class, do some drills and attend a lecture or two and you get your license.

I prefer sometimes to go for Home workouts. so I use Zumba DVD. The best thing about working out at home is you will have time to manage your own way as you are not going outside for any session and you will save a lot of time.
