Women are beating Men in every field. Zumba happens to be one of those million fields. Zumba for Men doesn’t sound so manly to most of the men out there.
If you wonder Is zumba for guys? then let me tell you that Zumba was invented or created by a “Guy” named Alberto Perez. How much more convincing do you need.
What we’ve noticed is that there aren’t many male Zumba participants in most of the classes.
Most of the Zumba classes have 95% Women and only 5% Men in it.
We need equality in Zumba classes as well. :p
So, we made it our mission to find out Why aren’t Men interested in Zumba?
Why Men don’t do Zumba?
We asked a bunch of Men who took Zumba classes and What difficulties they faced?
Have you ever seen guys in a “Dance Party”, standing on the sidelines. Trying to prove that they are tough guys.
Same goes with Zumba Classes. Whenever Men want to do something they want to be the absolute best in it. They don’t want to make an absolute fool out of themselves.
In Zumba Classes, there are mirrors which go from the floor to the ceiling. They can see each and every mistake they do during the class. That turns them off.
Some of the guys think that “Zumba for Men” is too girly. The Zumba instructors are mostly females and they think that the dance moves taught by these instructors are too feminine. Mostly Men prefer to workout alone.
Most men dance in weddings and functions and that’s all the dancing powers a guy can possess. Learning new dance moves is dreading for most of the guys.
The First Experience

When a guy first joins a Zumba class, the first thing he notices is that the class is filled with fit women. That discourages a guy when he has a belly as big as a pot.
First starts the warm up which lasts up-to 5 minutes. Men don’t have any problem in the warm up because it is easy.
Later as the track changes, the moves start to become more complex. Now, a guy who got use to the warm up steps would hate if the moves are suddenly changed.
As the moves and steps change, it becomes tough for the guy to keep up with the instructor and the fellow participants of the class.
Men start to miss steps, they start to turn the wrong way. When everyone is turning right, they are turning left. At one point of time they are just hoping in front of everyone.
This triggers the sense that everyone is looking at them as they make a complete fool out of themselves. But this is not the truth. The instructors and the fellow classmates don’t judge other classmates when they are making a mistake. All this is psychological.
What most men don’t like about Zumba classes is that it takes them out of their comfort-zone and puts all their insecurities in front of them. It’s all because they can see all the mistakes that they make in the giant mirror on the wall.
What guys forget to think is that all the embarrassment is coming from within. Neither the instructors nor the classmates will point out your mistakes and laugh at you.
These are most of the reasons why Men think Can guys do Zumba? or is even Zumba for Men.
Why Men should do Zumba?
Zumba is an exercise which is as effective as some other exercise. Zumba Dance Workout for weight loss is the most effective cardio exercise for both Men and Women.
Men who love Zumba have a high possibility of maintaining a very healthy lifestyle then Men who don’t.
The entire Zumba class is a continuous barrage of songs with a break of 5 seconds between each song for grabbing a towel and a sip of water. There is no full rest between breaks. This keeps your heart running and keeps your metabolism fired up after hours of your workout.

Guys who have a sedentary lifestyle should absolutely perform Zumba because it will help them to reduce their belly size and help to keep their Cholesterol in check.

Experience Zumba at Home: My Suggestion
Let’s see how you can do Zumba at home with the experience I am having.
I prefer sometimes to go for Home workouts. so I use Zumba DVD. The best thing about working out at home is you will have time to manage your own way as you are not going outside for any session and you will save a lot of time.
